Bella Ahu crowned Chamber Businesswoman of the Year
The Chief Executive Officer of the Trafix Catering Services, Mrs Bella Ahu, has been adjudged the Chamber Business woman of the Year at the Ghana Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI) awards held last Saturday in Accra.
Additionally, Mrs Ahu’s outfit, Trafix Catering Services, also won the Chamber Catering Services of the Year award.

Mrs Ahu was presented with the award by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo at the awards ceremony which was attended by the Minister of Trade and Industry, Mr Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen and some key industry players.
Citation
A citation accompanying the award read: “You started from a humble beginning. Today, you run one of the nation’s most patronised and glorious eateries that have lifted the Ghanaian hospitality sector to another level. You have used your profession to promote Ghana on many national and international platforms, an act that has won you many admirers both nationally and internationally.
Your leadership role and passionate interest in seeing to the sanitisation of the hospitality sector with players having the necessary and requisite training and capability remains your strong point.
You have also taken the initiative to sensitise cooks to how to handle children‘s foods, a mission you ceaselessly embark on when you get the chance. You have also taken keen interest in imbibing culinary skills in the youth from tender ages by visiting some selected junior high schools to offer them hands-on practical sessions in cooking.
“Your desire to inculcate the best into your staff saw you sending off some staff to Poland to upgrade their knowledge in tourism-related issues in a bid to shore up patronage of your eatery and hospitality in its entirety.
Your desire to drive an impeccable customer service with every service encrusted has seen you shore up your annual turnover to GH¢3,948,988 in the year under review. For these sterling feats and more, the GCCI confers on you Mrs Bella Ahu, CEO, Traffic Catering, the Chamber Business woman of the Year 2016.”

The award
Commenting on the award, Mrs Ahu expressed gratitude to God for the honour and also dedicated it to her hardworking staff and loyal customers.
She said the feat would not have been attained without the strong faith Ghanaians had in the services of her establishment and promised to continue providing quality menu at affordable prices.
“We have been graced by the growing loyalty of our cherished customers over the past decades and we are even more geared to do more for our most deserving current and potential clientele.
“It is in light of this that we have taken steps to expand our current operations to help us meet the increased demand of our catering services,” she said.
