According to Mr. Obeng the defendant made those allegations during a radio panel discussion on Accra-based Adom FM’s “Badwam” programme.
According to the plaintiff, the defendant who was on the show on Thursday, April 19, 2018, was speaking on the topic “Double Salary Probe: MP’s Must face the law … If –Amidu.”
The plaintiff further holds that the utterances of Mr Gyamfi had made him suffer considerable distress and embarrassment adding that “the publication has the likelihood of relieving him of his post as the Managing Director of BOST.
Mr. Obeng is therefore praying the court for an order of injunction restraining the defendant, his servants, agents from further uttering, broadcasting any words or images in any manner whatsoever suggesting that he (Mr. Obeng) was a thief.
