Chinese national arrested for allegedly killing compatriot

A Chinese national, Wei Yanwen, who was declared wanted by the Police for allegedly killing a compatriot at Asankragwa in the Western Region has been arrested by the Ashanti Regional Immigration Command.
He was arrested on Tuesday, February 11 at a hideout in Adiembra, a suburb of Kumasi through an intelligence-led operation.
The 25-year old is said to have stabbed to death his compatriot, Lee Buau, on Friday, January 24, at Asankragwa.
A statement issued and signed by the Head of Public Affairs of the Ghana Immigration Service, Superintendent Michael Amoako-Atta, said two other accomplices of the suspect who are also Chinese nationals were also arrested.
