Christians should not fear trials — Rt. Rev. Forson
The Bishop of the Tema Diocese of The Methodist Church Ghana, Rt Rev. Thomas Brown Forson, has stated that the faithlessness of mankind cannot nullify the faithfulness of God.

He has, therefore, challenged Ghanaians, especially Christians, to rejoice in the face of trials, as they would surely overcome their problems with God granting their hearts’ desire at His own divine time.
Preaching the sermon at the Calvary Methodist Church, Community Three, Tema, last Sunday, Bishop Forson stated that as God’s children, God would surely lead us to glory if we insist and persist in getting the impossible from Him.
The Bishop was at the Calvary Society to unveil a new vehicle purchased by the congregation for Kingdom work.
He said Christians must emulate the life of Job, who did not allow the circumstances of life to overcome him, and stressed the need for Christians to endeavour to overcome fear and anxiety.
“We must put our faith on display through persistence and perseverance,” he said, adding that as “Christians we should uphold great and not little faith.”
“You may be passing through difficulties now. Times are hard, but with God everything is possible,” Bishop Forson observed and assured the congregation that as a listening and pardoning God, He knows what is good and when the time is ripe for His children.
“As Christians, we need to have strong faith, believe it, live it and apply it in our everyday lives,” Bishop Forson stressed.

Situating his sermon on Mathew 15:28, which reads: “Women you have great faith. Your request is granted”, the Methodist Bishop of Tema said there were four characters in this encounter with Jesus Christ – the disciples, the desperate woman, her sick daughter and Jesus Christ himself.
He said the disciples did not demonstrate compassion towards the woman for telling her to take the sick daughter away and said Jesus’ response, on the other hand, indicated that He had compassion for believers, and urged Christians to emulate the integrity of Jesus Christ.
Unveiling the Toyota Corolla Saloon car, purchased by the church to facilitate church pastoral activities, Bishop Brown Forson urged the congregation to support the development of church growth by contributing both in cash and spiritual uplift of the church and its leadership.
He said the core duty of the church was to ensure that the congregation was taken care of at all times and also given the necessary support to seek the face of God and to intercede on their behalf.
He commended the leadership of the church and the congregation for their selflessness and desire towards church growth especially the contributions made for the purchase of the car. He was full of praise for the church for its efforts at generating funds internally to prosecute its projects.
Mr Alex Amissah, the church Steward, noted that the gesture was part of a five-year development plan of the church. He mentioned the construction of a church hall office complex, landscaping, a bus, additional rooms and completion of a wall and drainage systems to ensure good sanitation in the area as some of the projects under the five-year plan.
He highly commended the church’s resource mobilisation committee for its achievements so far and described the Calvary society as not only dynamic but unique in all respects.
