Court jails 3 robbers 180 years
The Koforidua Circuit Court A has sentenced three armed robbers who have been terrorizing residents of Koforidua and its environs to a total of 180 years in prison with hard labour.
Each one of them was given 60 years in prison with hard labour to bring their total sentence to 180 years.
The court presided over by Mrs Janet Animako Maafo found the three, Samuel Kwame Asare aka Boys Abre, Kofi Yakubu alias Cobra and Samuel Berfi Appiah alias Oscar guilty of robbery.

The convicts were arrested by the Eastern Regional Police Command in February, this year and were charged with robbery.
They were convicted on Monday, June 11, 2018.
The court also ordered the convicts to pay GH¢66,000 being the cost of a Toyota Camry they snatched from the complainant and GH¢5,500 being the costs of an Apple beat pill speaker, an HP Laptop and one iPhone belonging to the complainant.
Earlier sentence
When they appeared in court on Monday, they were first convicted for robbery and were given 20 years each in prison with hard labour
Eight hours later, they were arraigned in the same court on another charge of robbery and this time around, the court gave each one of them 40years in prison with hard labour.
This increased the total jail term for each one of them to 60 years.
Background
A police report indicated that the robbers held their victims hostage after snatching their vehicles and putting them in the car boot.
