COVID-19: Active cases drop to 564
Fifty-four new cases of the Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) has pushed Ghana’s cumulative total to 45, 655.
The countries active cases however continue to decline with the number standing at 564 as at Wednesday, September 16.
The total number of recoveries/discharged is now 44, 797, while the total number of deaths is still 294.
The Minister of Information, Kojo Oppong-Nkrumah, made this known at a press briefing in Accra.
According to him, 16 persons who arrived in Ghana following the resumption of international flights at the Kotoka International Airport have also tested positive for the disease although they arrived in the country with a negative PCR test.
He said four of them were currently on admission at designated health facilities although they are not showing any symptoms.
