COVID-19: Active cases hit 3,716

Ghana now has 3,716 active cases after the Ghana Health Service (GHS) announced 264 new cases today (July 14, 2020).
The number of people who have recovered from the illness now stands at 21,391 while the death toll remains 139.
According to Dr Badu Sarkodie, the Director of Public Health for Ghana Health Service, the coastal and middle areas of the country are the COVID-19 hotspots in the country.

He said the cases are being managed at treatment sites, isolation sites and home management.
"Twenty-five of the cases are classified as severe, eight as critical condition and then four of them on ventilators," Dr Sarkodie said today at a press briefing in Accra.
