
COVID-19: Ghana death toll hits 1,025
The Ghana Health Service (GHS) has disclosed that the country has recorded forty-three new deaths to the Coronavirus disease (COVID-19), increasing the death toll to 1,025.
The death toll stood at 982 as of Friday, August 20, 2021.
An update from the GHS indicates that as of Thursday, August 26, 2021, the country had recorded 688 new cases of the disease, making the number of active cases 7,153.
The country’s total number of confirmed cases is now 118,954.
The number of persons who have recovered or been discharged from the disease is now 110,776.
Of the 7,153 active cases 149 persons were said to be in severe condition while 62 others were in critical condition.
