Dad turns daughter into sexual partner
A 34-year-old private security officer has been sentenced to 14 years imprisonment in hard labour for defiling his 14-year-old daughter.

Mawuli Landdy Fiakofi, who remorsefully told the court that “ I don’t know what came over me”, pleaded guilty to the charges of defilement and incest in the court, presided over by Mrs Abena Agyin- Doku, after a full trial and was convicted accordingly.
Fiakofi, was said to have been forcibly defiling the victim since 2014 during the absence of his wife and warned the victim not to disclose her ordeal to anyone.
Delivering judgement, Mrs Agyin-Doku said she took into consideration the fact that the victim is Fiakofi’s daughter.
“I sentence the accused to 15 years imprisonment with hard labour on the offence of defilement. Case is adjourned to August 9, 2017 for further proceedings on the charge of incest”, the Judge stated.
Prosecuting, Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Mrs Agnes Bonsu told the court that the victim lived with her parents at Dzorwulu in Accra and the complainant is the victim’s grandmother.
Fiakofi, she said, was a private security officer and the victim’s father who had been sleeping with her occasionally since 2014.
In an attempt to prevent the victim from disclosing her ordeal to relatives, Mrs Bonsu said, Fiakofi pampered her with gifts, while continuing his act till April 17, 2017.

The prosecution said on the said date, Fiakofi attempted to sleep with the victim again but she refused and explained to him that she had seen on television that having sexual intercourse with one’s father or relative was an abomination.
Thereafter, Mrs Bonsu said Fiakofi refused to provide for the victim’s domestic and educational needs and the victim also informed her mother about what was going on.
“But when Fiakofi was confronted by the wife, he denied any such act had taken place.”
The victim, however, informed the grandmother who later lodged a complaint at the police station.
Fiakofi was arrested and admitted having had sexual intercourse with the daughter only in 2014 and not in 2017.
