Daughters Ministries encourages women to pray

The Daughters Ministries International, together with Abena Tay Ministries, has organised a special programme in Accra at the Royal House Chapel to encourage women to pray to build their spiritual, emotional and physical lives.

The programme, the fourth of its kind, dubbed: “When women pray”, created a spirit-filled atmosphere for people, mostly women, to pray to God and render worship to Him.

Emotionally down

The hostess of the programme, Lady Rev. Abena Tay, stated that most women who were emotionally down were not able to play their given roles in their homes, offices and businesses and, therefore, they needed to pray, adding, “Women are life givers, and for a woman to be able to give life, she should have enough life to share.”

Lady Rev. Tay underscored the need for women to pray, saying that when women pray and intercede for their countries, great things happen.

She added that when women went on their knees in prayer to God like Hannah did when she prayed in search of a son (1st Samuel 1: 20), He would surely be attentive and would answer.

The night witnessed performances from women such as Daughters of Glorious Jesus, Pastor Dzifa and Naa Mercy.

 CHAVAAH Award

In attendance were Dr Gifty Anti, a seasoned journalist and TV presenter, as well as Bishop Dr Sally Ofori, who were presented with the CHAVAAH Awards for their outstanding efforts and contribution to bring change to their communities.

The honourary award is  presented to women who have used their inward ability to create change in their communities and those around them.

Receiving her award, Dr Anti, who expressed gratitude to the Daughters Ministries, urged women to be selfless and humble and also serve as icons and role models through the exhibition of their godly character.
