‘Double track’ teacher applicants to write aptitude test Friday Sept 28
The Ghana Education Service (GES) has announced that persons who applied for teaching appointment online would have to write an aptitude test on Friday, September 28, 2018.
The GES has consequently advised applicants to visit www.gespromotions.gov.gh to access their examination details.

“An exams fee of Gh¢40 must be made on the same website by clicking on the examination fees module. All applicants are to take note and act accordingly,” the statement added.

The GES is hoping to recruit about 8,000 graduate teachers for the double track system in senior high schools.
Second cycle schools in Ghana at the beginning of September started a semester module as part of moves to address infrastructural challenges associated with the Free Senior High School programme.

Limited infrastructure in many schools prevented the admission of many qualified students in 2017 when the free SHS system was introduced.

That required the recruitment of more teachers to help make the running of the double system smooth.
The GES then advertised for qualified graduate teachers who had completed their national service to apply for employment.
The aptitude test scheduled for Friday, September 28 is, therefore, to help determine the suitability of the applicants for the advertised positions.
