Effutu Traditional Council assists Winneba Ambulance Service
The Effutu Traditional Council has donated some items to the National Ambulance Service in Winneba to address some of their basic needs.
The items which were presented based upon request included a standing fan, 32 inches LED Television set and a Double decker refrigerator.

At a short handover ceremony, the Omanhene of the Effutu Traditional Area, Neenyi Ghartey VII, said it was incumbent upon the council to assist in the provision of the basic needs of particularly state institutions in the area to enable them to discharge their professional duties.
He noted that government was overstretched in addressing the needs of government entities and that the onus lies on all and sundry to resource national institutions to effectively perform their obligations.
He mentioned that the council would continue to support institutions within the traditional area with some of their pressing needs as part of its corporate social responsibility, adding that “as a council we have a duty towards the growth and development of the area.
He admonished corporate bodies doing business in the Effutu Municipality to set aside some funds to assist government institutions since the central government alone cannot shoulder the burden of providing their needs.
For his part, the Coordinating Director of the Effutu Municipal Assembly, Mr Owusu Frimpong-Boachy, expressed the hope that the items would go a long way to improve conditions at the workplace.
He urged staff of the service to be proactive at all time so as to respond to emergency situations to save lives.
The Effutu Municipal Director of the National Ambulance Service, Mrs Alice Aidoo, thanked the traditional council for responding to their request within the shortest time.
