Financial company supports 4 institutions

A local financial company, Profin Ghana, has presented various items to four institutions in Accra which cater for the less privileged.

The beneficiary institutions are the Dzorwulu Special School, Royal Seed Home, Mother Care Orphanage and the Accra Psychiatric Hospital.

The Dzorwulu Special School received food items, toiletries, clothing and other household items.

The Assistant Headmaster of the school, Mr Fred Tettey, received the items and said the donation was timely as the school reopened late because it had run out of logistics.

He indicated that the school could begin the term using the logistics that had been provided while it waited for its full complement of supplies from the government.

Orphanage

Royal Seed home, an orphanage, received exercise books, food items, drinks and money.

A co-founder of the home, Rev. Sylvester Cudjoe, thanked Profin Ghana for its support and appealed for more of such support from benevolent individuals and organisations.

The consignment of Mother Care Orphanage was made up of food items, clothing, stationery, a desktop computer, office chairs and an undisclosed amount of money.

Its founder, Madam Joyce Obeng, thanked Profin Ghana for its kind gesture and stressed the need for the public to help provide quality education for less privileged children.

Accra Psychiatric Hospital

The Accra Psychiatric Hospital, among other things, received bags of rice, cooking oil, soap, detergents, diapers, clothing and a desktop computer.

Mr Nsia Anyetei, the Assistant Director of Nursing, received the items on behalf of the hospital, said government funding was not enough to run the hospital so it was important for benevolent organisations to support the hospital.

The Head of Branches Control of Profin Ghana, Madam Peggy Boateng, said the donation was in line with the company's social responsibility towards the less privileged and a way of sharing its profit with those in their operational area.
