Fire Service controls fire incident at Job 600 building in Parliament [VIDEO]
A fire incident at the Job 600 building in Parliament House on Tuesday morning has been curtailed by personnel from the Ghana National Service (GNFS).
The fire started in a store room within the building.

The cause of the fire is not immediately known.

The Greater Accra Regional Commander of the Fire Service, ACFO 1 Roberta Agrey Ghanson told the media that the fire was under control and investigations will commence into the incident to identify the cause of the fire.
Graphic Online's reporter in Parliament, Joshua Bediako Koomson reports that the incident was at a storage room on the second floor of the Job 600 building.
The outbreak occurred around 9:45 a.m and compelled staff and Members of Parliament to rush out of their offices to the open space between the administration block and the Job 600.
The personnel from the GNFS who arrived around 10 a.m had to firstly, confine the fire to prevent it from traveling to other unaffected rooms.

Fire under control
In a statement, the GNFS assured the public that the fire is now under control, with the affected area confined to an office on the second floor of the Job 600 Block.
Fortunately, there have been no reported casualties, as all occupants were successfully evacuated to safety.

Efforts are ongoing to completely extinguish the blaze, and the GNFS remains on-site to ensure the situation is fully resolved. The cause of the fire has not yet been disclosed.
