According to the police, a neighbour heard the cry of the victim during the incident and moved to the house to inquire what was happening.
The neighbour was said to have been refused entry to the house by the suspects so he sought help from other members of the community and succeeded in rescuing the victim.
Inspector Kwabena Danso of the Greater Accra Police Public Affairs Unit told Accra based radio station Joy FM that the police moved in after receiving a distress call.
He said the patrol team arrested the four suspects on arrival and have since detained them in custody pending further investigations.
