Ga West supports Amasaman council
The Ga-West Municipal Assembly (GWMA) has presented 12 desktop computers worth GHȼ20,000 to the Amasaman Zonal Council to enhance its administrative functions.The computers are to be distributed to the Pokuase, Mayera, Ayikai Doblo, Adjen Kotoku and Ofankor zonal council offices.
Presenting the items, the Municipal Chief Executive Officer (MCE) of the GWMA, Mr Sam Atukwei Quaye, appealed to chiefs in the area to offer more lands for zonal council offices and other developmental projects in the area.
That, he said, would help create job opportunities for the youth.
Outreach programmes
Mr Quaye urged the officers to organise outreach programmes to educate people on the concept of the zonal councils.
The Zonal Administrator of the Amasaman Council, Ms Lily Pearl Oforiwaah Bekoe, who received the computers on behalf of the other zonal councils, commended the MCE for the donation and gave an assurance that the items would be used for their intended purpos
