Thrilling contest to climax Tertiary Business Sense Challenge on October 22

It is expected to be nothing short of a thrilling contest when three business schools lock horns on Tuesday to determine who wears the crown as the champion of the Tertiary Business Sense Challenge (TBSC) in Accra.

The cliffhanging final of the sixth edition of the TBSC is among defending champions, the University of Education Winneba (UEW) School of Business, the 2022 champions; the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), and the premier business school, University of Ghana Business School (UGBS), which surprisingly is yet to win the challenge organised by the Graphic Business, the niche business publication of the Graphic Communications Group Ltd (GCGL).

The drama, thrills, intensity and wits that characterised the various stages of the nation’s premier business-related quiz competition were a sight to behold.

Now with the dust settled and the final three schools out of the over 40 schools that began the quiz competition across the length and breadth of the country set for the final, many await this all-important final.

The grand finale has been slated for Tuesday at the GNAT Hall from 10 a.m.

The team leader of the UGBS, Peter Emeka Ike, said the team had strategised to maintain composure, stay calm under pressure and execute a surprise of winning their first TBSC.

"We intend to outwit our opponents with smart calculations in the first two rounds and dominate in the third round to stand a chance of winning the trophy for the first time," he told the Daily Graphic.

UGBS to cause a shocker

UGBS, the third school to book a place at the final, is the only school among the three that has not won the competition and it is a make or break for the premier business school representatives.

The school believes strongly that with its quartet of Lawrencia Nelson, Obed Eyiah Arhin, Manasseh Amoah and Abdul Samed-Abdulahi, it can claim its first trophy since the competition began in 2019.
