A candlelight vigil for the two will take place today [Friday, October 18, 2024] at 5:00 pm at the accident site, located at the junction of Dzane Ashie Street and Mensah Wood Avenue.

Acting Head of the school, Gifty Agbeshie explained that the vigil is a time for the community to come together in reflection and support as they honour the lives of both students.

Family, friends, and members of the school are expected to attend as they pay their respects.

The students were victims of a fatal car crash in East Legon when the 16-year-old son of Bishop Salifu Amoako, Elrod Salifu Amoako crashed his white Jaguar into the Honda Acura carrying the victims.

The parents of Elrod, Salifu Amoako and Mouha Amoako were arrested by police on Tuesday, October 15 and appeared in court on Wednesday, October 16.

They were charged with permitting an unlicensed person to drive and were granted bail of GH¢ 50,000 each.

The funeral service for Maame Dwomoh Boaten is scheduled for tomorrow [Saturday, October 19, 2024] at Agape Church, East Legon followed by her burial service at Gethsemane Memorial Gardens.

The dress code for the vigil and service is black and white.
