Ghana Maritime Authority boss honoured

The Director-General of the Ghana Maritime Authority, Rev. Dr Peter Issaka Azuma, has been honoured by the Commonwealth University London Graduate School for his contribution to maritime development across the globe.

Ten other personalities across Africa also received doctorate awards from the University for distinguishing themselves in various fields of work, particularly at the managerial level.

 

Dr Azuma and three others were presented with a Fellow Certificate, for their immense support to the progress of society and for serving as beacons of hope to many on the continent.

The citation on the certificate read: “Commonwealth Academy of Leadership and Management Fellow – Certificate of Leadership is awarded by virtues demonstrated, knowledge, ethical standard, applied skill and experience, professional training, excellence and academic qualification”.

Dr Azuma expressed appreciation for the honour and commended the University for bestowing such an honour on him.

He added that, he was motivated by the award to even do more to enhance the maritime sector of the country.
