Africa’s music stars storm Accra for GTCO Music Concert
The Accra Sports Stadium will pulse with excitement this December when some of Africa’s biggest music stars take the stage for the much-anticipated GTCO Music Concert 2025.
Scheduled for Friday, December 19,2025, the free concert will bring together a line-up of performers, including Burna Boy, Ayra Starr, Joeboy, Fireboy DML, Patoranking, Shatta Wale, Sarkodie and R2Bees.
Music lovers can look forward to a night of rhythm, lyrical dexterity, creativity and electrifying showmanship that bridges cultures and celebrates African excellence.
Event
The event is being organised by Guaranty Trust Bank (Ghana) Limited, a subsidiary of Guaranty Trust Holding Company (GTCO), and it forms part of the company’s Corporate Social Investment (CSI) initiative, designed to promote the arts and creative industry while fostering unity through shared cultural experiences.
The Group Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of GTCO, Segun Agbaje, told the media that the concert underscores the company’s commitment to empowering communities through creativity and connection.
“At GTCO, Corporate Social Investment is not just a moral obligation; it is a fundamental part of who we are. True growth is measured, not only by financial success but by the positive impact we make in our communities,” he said.
He added that the concert reflects the company’s belief in the unifying power of music.
“We are hosting the GTCO Music Concert in Ghana as our way of giving back to the community, while celebrating the talent and energy that define our continent. Music is a universal language that connects people. At GTCO, we are proud to use it as a platform to promote unity, creativity and the rich cultural bond between Africa and the world,” Mr Agbaje said.
Second edition
Now in its second edition, the GTCO Music Concert has become one of Ghana’s biggest year-end entertainment events.
The maiden edition, which was held in 2021, drew massive crowds and earned widespread praise for its seamless organisation, production and energetic performances.
On what to expect this year, Mr Agbaje explained, said the bar would be raised a notch higher.
He said beyond the glitz and glamour, the concert would highlight the GTCO’s commitment to social impact through creativity.
“The Group’s CSR efforts extend beyond entertainment, with initiatives such as the Orange Ribbon Campaign for mental health awareness and the annual Food and Drink Festival, which supports small businesses and celebrates African enterprise,” he said.
