In his inaugural address, Mr Incoom said the facility was part of the 80 educational projects initiated by the Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo-led New Patriotic Party (NPP) government nationwide this year, to enhance teaching and learning in the country.

He was grateful to the President, the Education Minister, Dr Yaw Osei-Adutwum, and other stakeholders who contributed to the construction of the facility reputed to be the best in the district.

He expressed the hope that the facility would boost the morale of the teachers and students of the school to give their best.

Mr Incoom advised the students to use the facility to the fullest to benefit the present and future generations.

Development projects

The Member of Parliament (MP) for Asene Manso Akroso, George Kwame Aboagye, stated that with the support of the government, 40 school blocks had been constructed in the district since he became the legislator.

He said that all the 340 communities in the district had benefited from at least one development project since 2017.

Mr Aboagye said the government had approved the tarring of seven kilometres of Manso town roads and three kilometres for Akyem Asuboa South and Akyem Asuoso, which would commence soon.

The District Director of Education, Faustina Akplu, advised the beneficiary staff and students to take proper care of the building and furniture for them to last long.

She warned that pupils who deliberately damaged the desks would be surcharged through their parents.
