First Lady confers with Zambian counterpart

The First Lady, Lordina Dramani Mahama, last Thursday, held a meeting with her Zambian counterpart, Mrs Mutinta Hichilema, in what was a display of cross-border sisterhood and collaboration.

The meeting formed part of Mrs Dramani Mahama’s itinerary, as she accompanied President John Dramani Mahama on his three-day state visit to Zambia.

They discussed their ongoing initiatives and explored opportunities to support each other's work and explore areas of cooperation that could expand the reach and impact of their work.

Key highlights from the meeting included sharing their experiences with social development programmes, exploring potential partnerships between Ghana and Zambia, identifying areas for mutual support and collaboration, and reaffirming their commitment to impactful community initiatives. 

Inspiring

Mrs Mahama described the meeting as enriching and inspiring, emphasising her pride in sharing the exploits of the Lordina Foundation and being equally inspired by the Zambian First Lady’s commitment to improving the lives of her people.

“It was an inspiring and enriching meeting with my dear sister, Mutinta Hichilema.

“Our tête-à-tête was a beautiful display of cross-border sisterhood and collaboration as we shared meaningful conversations about our initiatives.

“When women leaders unite across borders, we amplify our impact and create lasting change for our communities,” Mrs Dramani Mahama stated.
