Ampah-Bennin

For Rev. COP Ampah-Bennin, it said the people of Senya Bereku were fortunate to have such a personality who had dedicated his life to hard work, diligence, honesty, integrity and the fear of God.

“Nenyi, you have laboured tirelessly for the peace and security of our nation and have been great person to the Senya Bereku community.

“You never achieved this for personal attention but for the love of God and humanity. Congratulations for the sacrificial services to Ghana and Senya Bereku. You have served well, Ayeeko,” it said.

Best student

Mr Amponsah’s citation read: “Your achievement will go a long way to inspire the younger ones in the Senya area and beyond to push higher in life.

Mr Amponsah, you have brought great joy and pride to all of Senya Bereku, Senya Senior High School and your family as well.

“You have proven to all that the sky is free and fair to everyone and whosoever wants to reach it cannot be hindered by poverty and challenges.

With hard work, wisdom and dedication to singleness of purpose you have achieved this enviable height”.

Speaking at the ceremony, the organiser of the programme, Dr Joseph Essibu stated that the personalities needed to be celebrated as a result of the pride and honour they had brought to the town.

“These are people who have worked tirelessly to bring honour not only to themselves but to the entire Senya Bereku. We are recognising them to take inspiration from what they are doing not only for the town but the country at large,” he said.

Mr Andah urged the people of Senya to forge ahead in unity in other to develop the town.

For his part, the Awutu Senya West District Chief Executive, Mr Stephen Quaye, said the chieftaincy issue in the town was quite disturbing, and that had compelled the Regional Security Council to cancel the annual Akomase (end of hunger) festival.
