Kempinski Hotel team visits Sempe Basic School - Extends kindness through education, connection
As part of its ‘10 Acts of Kindness’ initiative in celebration of 10 years of luxury hospitality in Ghana, team members from Kempinski Hotel Gold Coast City, Accra, have spent the day with pupils and staff of Accra Sempe Basic School, creating moments of joy and learning.
The visit formed part of the hotel’s broader commitment to community engagement and social responsibility, one that extends beyond the walls of its luxury offerings.
Through group engagement, donation of books, shared meals and meaningful conversations, the Kempinski team sought to build genuine connections, listening to the stories of students while encouraging a spirit of hope and determination.
A particularly touching moment came when David Quartey, the hotel’s Gentleman in Red, addressed the pupils in Ga, the local language.
His message served as a powerful reminder that greatness can begin in the most familiar of places.
‘Let our stories inspire yours, ’ he said, encouraging students to work hard and dream big.
Speaking about the visit, Director of Human Resources, Barbara Amissah, stated: “We are deeply honoured to connect with young learners from Sempe Basic School.
This visit is a symbol of how hospitality can extend beyond the walls of a hotel and into the heart of our community.”
This visit is part of the hotel’s 10 Acts of Kindness initiative, a year-long series of socially impactful activities that reflect Kempinski’s values of empathy, generosity and responsibility, as it celebrates a decade of operations in Accra.
