Peace for development

Prof. Opoku-Agyemang expressed the government’s gratitude for the peace and unity in the Krachi traditional area, which led to the rapid socio-economic development of the area during the 25 years’ rule of Nana Mprah Besemuna III.

On behalf of the government, the Vice-President assured the people that all their requests, such as having a bridge across the River Oti in Dambai, access town roads within the area, were being considered and would be available to them at the right time.

The Vice-President advised the chiefs and people to collaborate with the Krachi District Assembly to ensure the rapid development of the area.

She expressed her satisfaction that the area was blessed with both natural and human resources and advised the youth to turn to agriculture to address the unemployment challenges.

The Buipewura, who is also the Vice-President of the National House of Chiefs, asked the government to provide the area with a speedboat to assist them in the fight against the menace.

His Royal Majesty, Abdulai Jinapor II, commended Nana Mprah Besemuna III for the sterling 25 years of leadership and asked for unity to establish the Guan House of Chiefs to ensure rapid development.
