Let's collaborate with Otumfuo for peace in Bawku - Nakoa Jamson to factions
The Leader and Founder of the Israel King of the Jews Church, Nakoa Nazareth Ansah Jamson, has commended the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu, for the steps he has taken to bring peace to Bawku in the Upper East Region.
He said it was sad that such an incident should drag on and urged the factions not to take entrenched positions but corporate with the revered chief to end the conflict.
He, therefore, prayed that the feuding factions would let cool heads prevail and come to the mediation table in order to find and bring about lasting peace for the development of the area.
"I pray in the name of the Almighty God that they will all accept peace. God should show all of us mercy.
We also appeal to them to give honour to Allah and listen to the Asantehene to put all their differences aside," he said.
Nakoa Prophet Jamson, also known as Nii Kwame Ladjelor, the Development Chief (Noyaa Mantse) of the Onomrako Adain Family in the Greater Accra Region, said this on the sidelines of the 2025 Passover of the church last Friday at the Yahwe Yi're Temple in Accra.
Development
The Israel King of the Jews Church leader said peace was essential for the development of Bawku, thus the need for the factions to come together in unity for the progress of the area.
He said he had been worried about the situation in the area and had been praying for a solution to enable the people to go about their normal lives.
"I have been having sleepless nights over the situation and praying to God to help the people of Bawku to come out of their situation for peace to prevail.
"So I appeal to the two chiefs to respond to the Asantehene and share their issues with him and listen to what he would also tell them in response," he said.
He prayed for the peace of God for the people of Bawku.
Nakoa Prophet Jamson also called for stronger collaboration between the government and chiefs and the issuing of licenses for mining in their areas to ensure that the right thing was done for the benefit of all.
Commenting on the abuse of opioids by young people, the prophet expressed concern about the situation, stressing the need for a multi-faceted collaborative effort to address such a sensitive issue as the devastating effects of the abuse of opioids.
He said school heads, community and opinion leaders and religious bodies should all join the campaign to educate youngsters on the short-term, medium and long-term impact of the abuse of opioids.
Commemoration
The Passover celebration, which he said was not the first to be marked by the church, was still relevant today as it was then.
The Israel King of the Jews Church leader said every year, the event was held and that God had set it aside for the Israelites and humanity in general.
The event, he said, was to be used to honour God and should be a reminder that at a point in time, He delivered the Israelites from the Egyptians through that means.
"And so for us, we have not forgotten this reminder, and we thank God for using His prophet to capture the event in the Holy Bible for us to also follow and do what He wants us to do," he said.
He said it was through Moses that God showed such honour in the total liberation of the Israelites from the hands of the Egyptians.
