LiSAG opens new head office at Labone
The Licensed Surveyors Association of Ghana (LiSAG) has inaugurated a new head office in Labone-Accra, last Fraiday, marking a milestone of the association existence.

The new LiSAG head office is equipped with modern facilities, including meeting rooms, a library, and a training centre for training surveyors to help maintain the highest standards of professionalism and promote the interests of its members.
It is expected to serve as a hub for collaboration, learning, and professional development for registered members of the association as well as provide a space for members to come together.
Technology
The Member of Parliament for Ahafo Ano South East, Francis Manu Adabor in an inaugural address, on behalf of the Minister for Lands and Natural Resources, underscored the importance of digitalisation in land administration and challenged LiSAG to lead the charge in embracing technology.
He said the “inauguration of LiSAG House must signify a new chapter for the association, one where modern technology and innovation become central to your operations”.

“The use of advanced tools like Geographic Information Systems (GIS), drones, and GPS must be prioritised in cadastral surveys and land management. These tools will enable more accurate mapping, better data collection, and a higher standard of service delivery.
The challenges we face in land tenure, ownership disputes, and land management are significant, but with these technologies, they are surmountable”.
Mr Adabor emphasised the need for the continued branding and professional growth of licensed surveyors; adding that the impact of licensed surveyors extends far beyond LiSAG and play a crucial role in national development in supporting the government with accurate data for infrastructure projects and assisting private developers and traditional authorities in land related matters.

In his address, the National President of LiSAG, Samuel Larbi Darko said the unveiling of the facility represented an embodiment of a collective aspirations and commitment to the growth and advancement of their profession.
He eulogised the founding president of LiSAG, Kwame Tenadu, for his leadership and forward-thinking policies which set the stage for construction of the new edifice.
Adding that, LISAG House “stands as a testament to what we can achieve when we ‘work together with determination and purpose”.
Mr Darko expressed gratitude to all of its members for their financial, technical, and moral contribution in the success story of LiSAG.
“This success is yours as much as it is ours. Your unwavering support has been the bedrock of our progress, and it has carried us through every challenge. I humbly ask for your continued commitment as we journey toward even greater accomplishments for LISAG,” Mr Darko stated.
The President of LiSAG, indicated that the head office “is not just a headquarters—it is a symbol of our unity, our ambition, and our shared vision for the future of licensed surveyors in Ghana”.
For his part, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Geo-Tech Surveys Limited, Stephen Djaba urged members of LiSAG to take pride in their achievement and be optimistic for the many opportunities that lie ahead.
He also called on members to continue to maintain professional standards to uplift the good image of LiSAG.
