Our 8 fallen patriots - Flying Officer Ampadu
Flying Officer Manaen Twum Ampadu (GH/5426), was born on January 17, 1995, at Kwahu Adumoah, Eastern Region, to Mr Emmanuel Macdouglas Ampadu and Madam Ampadu Patience.
He attended Aburi Presby Secondary School, after which he proceeded to the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST).
Fg Offr Ampadu was enlisted into the Ghana Military Academy on December 16, 2020, and commissioned into the Aircrew Branch of the Ghana Air Force on November 4, 2021 as part of Regular Career Course 61.
He graduated from the Royal Air Force Academy, United Kingdom, on April 8, 2021.
He was a top performer in his class, combining intelligence, skill, and determination, which earned him respect as a capable aviator and dependable co-pilot.
His thirst for knowledge and technical proficiency set him apart, even among his peers.
He was until his sudden demise, posted to the No.8 Heli Wing as a Pilot of the Z-9 Helicopter.
Fg Offr Ampadu was married to Naval Lieutenant Ewuradwoa Kumi-Kyereh, who is also the Two Garrison Psychologist.
