Regularise land acquisition - Gomoa Fetteh Kakraba chief to developers

The Chief of Gomoa Fetteh Kakraba, Nana Essel Amoaqunadoh, has implored developers in the area to regularise their land acquisition with the stool.

He said some individuals had taken it upon themselves to sell lands in the area without recourse to the chiefs and thus they should contact the stool to clear matters with it.

"If you have any property - land or building in the area, please contact the Gomoa Fetteh Kakraba Odikro so that we can discuss whatever issue we have with you," Nana Amoaqunadoh said at a press conference last Sunday.

Failure

Nana Amoaqunadoh said the failure to contact his outfit would result in the use of lawful means to retrieve lands that were sold without the authorisation of the stool.

He said the developers had up to the end of October to respond to the stool.

According to him, the stool acquired judgment in its favour in 2014 and a subsequent order from the Cape Coast High Court to possess the lands in the area on July 9, 2024.

Judgement

"After we secured the judgment in 2014, we tried to get people (developers) to get in touch with the stool but no one has come and so we have gone for an order of execution which is dated July 9, 2024," he said

He, therefore, charged developers at Nkwantanang, Manfam, Abora, Ojo, Nyame Na Adom, Ama Kum, Tuansah, Gomoa Nyamekrom and part of Millennium City to get in touch with the stool for amicable settlement of their land issue.
