Stool Lands holds mid-year conference

The Office of the Administrator of Stool Lands has ended its 27th mid-year conference at Goaso in the Ahafo Region, during which the office took stock of its activities for the first half of the year and put forward strategies for the second half of 2024.

The annual event, among others, offers a platform for learning, collaboration, assessment and planning in order to track the progress of the office.

In her welcome address, the Administrator of Stool Lands, Maame Ama Edumadze-Acquah, said the theme for this year's mid-year conference: "Consolidating the Digitisation Agenda for Effective Revenue Mobilisation" reflected the commitment to innovation and advancement in technology and digitisation to maximise productivity.

She added that management believed that through this, the office could execute new ideas and drive progress in the areas of revenue mobilisation and land administration as a whole.

Ms Edumadze-Acquah also encouraged the regional representatives to up their game to enable them meet their targets in subsequent years.

The Director of Policy and Planning of the Office of the Administrator of Stool Lands, Ebenezer Arthur, said the theme for the conference reflected the quest to redouble efforts by leveraging technology to mobilise funds to improve the lives of stakeholders of the office and its communities.

He highlighted their roles and prospects in safeguarding stool lands for enhanced development.

Conference

After the three-day conference, the office and its team took a tour of Golden Team Mining Company at Hwediem at Asirifi South District in Ahafo Region.

They were led by the Ahafo Regional Director of Stool Lands, Daniel Acheampong, who is also a host for the mid-year Stool Lands Conference.

The HR Manager of the Golden Team Mining Company was grateful for the visit and promised to be responsible in their operations.

Activities lined up for the conference comprised presentations from the various directorates at the Head Office, reports from the regions and insightful discussions on pertinent matters across the length and breadth of the office, and staff welfare.
