Ghana Police launch investigation into viral video showing assault of female student

The Ghana Police Service has launched an investigation following the emergence of a disturbing viral video that has sparked widespread outrage on social media.

The 31-second clip, which has circulated widely on social media, captures a troubling scene where a group of young men is seen harassing a female student.

The undated video, titled "Kumaca on heat," begins with the young woman walking in front of a large crowd of predominantly male students. 

In the footage, she is subjected to physical and verbal abuse, with several individuals pushing and lashing out at her while others can be heard jeering.

The situation escalates in a subsequent scene, where an unidentified person forcefully grabs the student by the top of her dress and kicks her legs from beneath her.

In response to the video's circulation, the Ghana Police Service in a statement on social media has assured the public that those responsible will be identified and brought to justice.

Investigations are currently underway to ensure that the perpetrators are held accountable for their actions.
