GNAAS Wesley High Girls supports All Nations Charity Home

The Ghana National Association of Adventist Students (GNAAS) branch of the Wesley High Girls Senior High School (SHS) in Kumasi has presented a number of items valued at GH¢1,000 and cash, to support the All Nations Charity Home at Ayigya in Kumasi.

Led by the patron, Mrs Ama Adwubi Boahen, the GNAAS Wesley High Girls presented 15 tubers of yam,  half bag of beans, half bag of rice, a gallon of palm oil, half gallon of cooking oil and two cartons of toilet roll.

The other items included sponges and towels, slippers, second hand clothes and shoes, soaps, detergents, tooth paste and tooth brushes, sweets and assorted drinks.

Mrs Adwubi Boahen, who is a teacher of the school, said leading Adventist students at the second cycle education institution to support the needy was not by chance but by merit and that the donation was in fulfillment of the SDA Church’s objective to support the needy in society.

She asked authorities of the home to use the items for the intended purpose and pledged the school’s commitment to support the home at all times.

A visiting teacher, Mr Stephen Boakye who gave a sermon to climax the presentation ceremony admonished the inmates to be faithful to God as their Creator, even with the little they would have in their possession.

He also asked them to be obedient to the authorities of the home, saying by so doing and with a continuous faith in God, they would become good leaders in the future.

The Director of the Home, Rev. Philip Nyamekye expressed gratitude to GNAAS Wesley High Girls for their benevolence and asked for the school’s continuous support, while expressing the wish that the support became a living example for the public to emulate.
