The burglars also made away with the documents covering a Rexton 4X4 vehicle with registration number GS 471-14, jewelleries, a Samsung mobile phone, an ipad, textile wax prints, pairs of male shoes, suits and an unspecified amount of money.

Mrs Baiden said the incident happened while there was no one in the house.

She said she left the house, near Hydroform Estate on the Spintex Road, with her husband, Mr Richard Baiden, in the morning of July 16, 2015, while the BMW saloon car with registration number GE 2561 Y was parked in the compound.

According to her, her husband returned home at about 10:30am to find the main gate to the house ajar.

Apart from the car which was not in the compound at the time, she said her husband found the burglary proof of a window to an unused washroom in the house removed after the concrete arround it had been broken.

“Our room was also ransacked after the padlock on a burglary proof to our living room was broken.”

She believes that the assailants searched for the documents on the BMW saloon car after they had found the ignition keys to the car but ended up taking the documents to a different car which was not in the house at the time of the incident.

The case has since been reported to the Baatsona Police which has initiated investigations into the matter.

She appealed to any member of the public who has information to call 0233179395, 02446050378 or the nearest police station.
