The prices of the other newspaper brands of the GCGL will also see a minimal rise.
The Mirror, which is the company’s flagship weekend newspaper, will sell at GH¢3, effective January 1.
The rest of the newspaper brands, including the Graphic Business, the Graphic Showbiz and the Graphic Sports, will sell at GH¢2.50 from next month, while the Junior Graphic will be sold at GH¢1.50.
Rising cost of production
The Director of Marketing of the GCGL, Mr Franklin Sowa, said the decision to revise prices of the newspaper brands was due to the increases in the company’s production costs.
He said the GCGL did not want to compromise on quality, hence the need to increase prices marginally to make up for the extra operational costs.
“Our operational costs have gone up over the years, but we have not increased prices since 2014,” he explained.
