Graphic will collaborate to improve brands —Ashigbey

The Managing Director of the Graphic Communications Group (GCGL), Mr Kenneth Ashigbey has given the assurance that the company would collaborate with private institutions to promote their brands to the public. 

Mr Ashigbey said the GCGL was a leading communication company in the promotion of brands and pledged the company’s committment to partner interested institutions in promoting their shared interest.

Mr Ashigbey made the remarks when officials of the TAP Portugal, a Portuguese airline, paid a courtesy call on him at his office in Accra.

Economic interest

Recounting the historic relations between Ghana and Portugal, Mr Ashigbey said the two companies could work in partnership to promote economic interest in both countries.

He commended officials of the TAP Portugal for ensuring direct flights to Lisbon, three times a week and expressed the hope that the endeavour would enhance the economic relationship between the two countries.

Mr Ashigbey said the company could use the Graphic Business newspaper to promote its business packages.

Business growth

In his address, the General Manager of TAP Portugal for Cape Verde Islands and Ghana, Mr Joao Ingles, stated that the purpose of the visit was to foster a relationship between the GCGL and the TAP Portugal.

He said Ghana had a huge economic potential and added that the direct flights from Accra to Lisbon was an opportunity to facilitate the growth of businesses in both countries.

“In future, I hope we consolidate our operations in Ghana to enable us invest more in Ghana”, he said.

As part of their efforts to make Ghana the link between West Africa and Europe, Mr Ingles stated that the airline would soon commence flights from Lisbon to  Sao Tome and Principe through Accra.

Currently, TAP Portugal flys three times in a week and would soon increase its flights from Accra to Lisbon to seven times in a week.

New Route

Explaining further, Mr Ingles said the new route, was to enable the company take advantage of the economic opportunities in Sao Tome and Principe.

That, he said, would also create and promote economic relations between Ghana and Sao Tome and Principe as the company sought to expand its operations in Africa. 

In addition, Mr Ingles said the airline had a unique package which allowed clients to spend some days in Portugal en route to their final destination without having to buy another ticket to connect them to their final destination.
