The occasion coincided with the 20th anniversary celebrations of the village and also marked the Easter celebration.

Presenting the items, Mr Ekow Blankson, Group Head, Corporate Communication and Strategy of Ideal Financial Holdings, remarked that the company prided itself on sharing what it generated from its financial dealings with its clients and the deprived and marginalised in society.

Deprived

“We exist and survive due to the grace of the Almighty and as such the need to give a helping hand to the deprived in society,” he stated.

“We in Ideal have in our core duties supported various educational institutions, including the provision of scholarships, stationery and the construction of a classroom block for the Ada Senior High School’’, Mr Blankson added.

The items were cartons of Ideal Milk, boxes of soap, detergents, gallons of cooking oil and biscuits. The rest included bags of rice, sugar, toffees, and drinks.

According to him, this is the second time Ideal Financial Holdings had supported the village and mentioned that they would continue to ensure that the physical and social needs of inmates were provided to make them feel safe and happy.

“Let’s all move away from our comfort zones to interact, share and give to these people, especially those living with disabilities,” he added.

Financial institution

The financial institution has established a fund known as the “Tsatse” foundation, which seeks to  support these individuals through the deduction of an amount from the salaries of staff of all subsidiaries to help the needy.

Nana Akosua Kwansima, the Vice Chairman of Echoing Hills Village Ghana, said the donation was timely and significant as it had brought some relief to  the managers  of the home and inmates. She expressed appreciation to the board, management and staff of Ideal Financial Holdings and its subsidiaries for the gesture and  gave the assurance that the items would be put to good use.

She also appealed to other institutions to support them as the government alone could not provide them with all their needs.
