LaDMA donates to La, Cantonments Police Stations

The Chief Executive Officer of La Dadekotopon Municipal Assembly, Ms Rita Odeley Sowah, has presented two motorbikes worth GH¢42,000 to the La and Cantonment Police Stations as part of its contribution to help curb crime in the area.

Ms Sowah said the gesture was in response to a request made by the police for support in combatting crime. Among other things, the police requested to be assisted in order to patrol the municipality.

She further added that the bikes were in good condition and expressed the hope that the police would put them to good use.

Ms Sowah reminded the police of the assembly’s continued support to the police. She noted the onerous duty placed on the shoulders of the police to protect the community from criminals,and urged other groups and entities  to support them.

She further urged residents to be forthcoming with information on criminal activities in the community to enable the police to take prompt action. 

Police Chief Superintendent Iddie Seidu of the Cantonment Police station commended the assembly for the support and assured that the bikes would be used for the intended purpose, particularly in policing the community during the night.
