Mahama addresses UN General Assembly

President John Mahama will take his turn to address the 70th Session of the United Nations General Assembly on Wednesday. This year's session which is on theme, 'The United Nations at 70: the road ahead for peace, security and human rights' opened on Monday.
President Mahama has in addition to participating in the General Assembly debates held a number of bilateral meetings. He also joined US President Barack Obama and other heads of state at a Leaders' Summit on Peacekeeping on the sidelines, where he pledged Ghana's further commitment to international peacekeeping operations.
