Man arrested for causing damage to 'Big Six'monument at Airport Roundabout in Accra

A man who caused damage to a monument at the Airport Roundabout in Accra has been arrested by the police.

The police has named him as Newwel Gavu.

He was arrested based on the vigilance of some members of the public.

A police statement said he was in custody and will be taken through the due process of the law.

The incident happened on Saturday.

The Ghana Police Service today, 31st August 2024, arrested suspect Newwel Gavu for causing damage to a monument and some sign posts at the Airport roundabout in Accra.

The suspect is currently in custody and will be taken through the due process of the law.

We would like to commend members of the public and the Airport security for their vigilance which led to the arrest of the suspect.
