Man attempts raping pregnant woman
The inability of a 30-year-old mechanic apprentice, to control his libido has landed in court.

Jephthah Aryee, has been arraigned before an Accra Magistrate’s court for trying to rape a pregnant woman.
Aryee was charged with attempting to commit crime, to wit rape, but his plea was not taken when he appeared before the court presided over by Mr James Kojo Botah.
He has been remanded in police custody pending further investigations.
Chief Inspector Gregory Yeboah, presenting the facts of the case, said Rita Quansah, 23, is a trader who is six months pregnant.
C/Inspector Yeboah said both Aryee and Rita live at Mateheko. One day, Rita’s friend, Jamila, told Aryee that Rita needed accommodation and Aryee promised to assist them find one.
Prosecutor Yeboah said on June 30, 2016 at 11.30 a.m. Aryee went to Rita’s house and informed her that he had found her a place.
The prosecutor said Rita, therefore, accompanied Aryee to see the said room. When they got to the house, Aryee opened the room for Rita to inspect it.

He said immediately Rita entered the room, Aryee quickly locked the trap door, undressed and pushed Rita into a two-in-one sofa and attempted to rape her.
According to the prosecutor, Rita started screaming for help and a certain man came and knocked at the door before Aryee opened the trap door for Rita to free herself.
He said a report was made at the Odorkor DOVVSU and Aryee was arrested and charged after investigations.
