Dowuona-Ocran  pleaded not guilty to the charge of assault. He was granted bail in the sum of GH¢1,500, with one surety.

The facts of the case as presented by Chief Inspector Gregory Yeboah were that   on February 27, 2016 at 7.36 p.m., Sally invited Seyo to her house for a discussion.

The prosecutor said Seyo, who had gone for a 24-hour shift duty was tired and asked Sally if he could lie on the bed while they had the discussion and she obliged.

A few minutes later, there was a knock on the main door to the hall. When Sally opened the door, it was her husband, Dowuona-Ocran.

Sally proceeded to tell  her  husband that there was a visitor in the bedroom.

According to C/Inspector Yeboah, Ocran ignored Sally, entered the bedroom, pounced on Seyo and  gave him  a sound beating  with a belt.

The prosecutor said when Sally tried to intervene, Dowuona-Ocran  turned his anger on her, beating her up mercilessly.

Seyo sustained injuries on his mouth while Sally was left with a swollen cheek.
