Montie FM supports two institutions

Montie FM, an Accra-based radio station, has donated a variety of items worth GH¢12,500 to two institutions in support of the upkeep of their inmates.

The beneficiary institutions are the Mampong Demonstration School for the Deaf (DEMODEF) at Akuapem Mampong in the Eastern Region and the New life Orphanage at Nungua in Accra.

The items included 17 bags of rice, 13 pieces of cloth, six gallons of oil, four bags of gari, four bags of beans, four bags of cassava dough, 30 bags of sachet water and cheese balls.

Montie FM also presented GH¢600 to the beneficiaries.

The radio station raised the funds for purchasing the items from benevolent institutions and organisations, while it provided the GH¢600.

The Marketing Manager of Montie FM, Mrs Lauratu Omar Sawadogo, who handed over the items to the managements of the two institutions, explained that the donation was in line with the radio station’s corporate social responsibility of helping the needy. 

She appealed to individuals and  corporate organisations to emulate the gesture to help the needy.

The Operation Manager of Montie FM, Ms Doris Adjetey Lomo, thanked all those who helped to make the donation possible.

Receiving the items, the managements of DEMODEF and New Life orphanage thanked Montie FM for the donation, adding that they appreciated the support offered them by the radio station.

The two institutions appealed to benevolent individuals and corporate bodies, to also come to their aid as they needed a lot of assistance.
