As part of the project, members of the public were asked to nominate people who have supported their communities in the areas of Education, Health, Economic Empowerment, Community Crusading, Environment and Social Protection.

MTN televised the inspiring stories of the 20 nominees on select TV stations across the country. At the end of Season I, Dr Abrokwa Yankyera, a plastic surgeon and founder of the Graft Foundation emerged the winner. He received a cash prize of GH¢50,000, a citation and a plaque for his work.

In all six people were recognised for playing active roles in their communities.

Season II of the project is expected to take the project to a higher level.

The MTN Ghana Foundation has over the years invested significant resources to improve the lives of millions of people in Ghana. The projects are all focused on improving access to Health, Education and Economic Empowerment.
