Murder of GPHA manager: GH₵50k bounty announced
The management of the Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority (GPHA) is offering a GH₵50,000 bounty to any member of the public who provides information that would lead to the arrest of the murderer or murderers of the Marketing and Public Relations Manager of the Tema Port, Mrs Josephine Tandoh Asante.
The deceased according to police sources was believed to have been raped prior to being stabbed to death following the discovery of semen samples in her vagina while fingerprints and other traces of evidence were also found at the scene.

A 22-year-old houseboy of the deceased, Christian Agyei, whom the police said was in possession of a wristwatch and an amount of GHC430 belonging to the deceased has however been remanded in Prison custody by a Tema District Magistrate Court in connection with the murder.
The body of the deceased according to the police was discovered by a driver and complainant, Mr Amos Apraku who was called in by the deceased’s 12-year-old son and the suspect, Agyei at about 8:30 am Sunday morning lying in a pool of blood inside the bedroom.
Statement
A press statement issued in Tema and signed by the acting Director General (DG), Mr Michael Luguje indicated that the Authority was shocked by the events and has therefore committed itself to assist and hasten the investigation processes.
“The GPHA will ensure that it commit resource at its disposal to ensure that the perpetrators of this heinous crime are brought to book the statement stated.
The DG also expressed appreciation to the general public for the show of support to the authority and the family of the deceased in these trying moments.
The statement urged the public to engage the matter with some level of circumspection out of respect for the deceased, her spouse and the entire family.
