NALAG to represent West Africa local authorities
The National Association of Local Authorities of Ghana (NALAG) has been elected to represent local authorities in West Africa on the Commonwealth Local Government Forum ( CLGF) Executive Board.
The election took place at the 2015 Commonwealth Local Government Conference held from June 16 -19 in Gaborone, Botswana.
The President of NALAG, Alhaji Mohammed Doku, who is also the Municipal Chief Executive of Asunafo North in the Brong Ahafo region, would thus represent the association on the Board.
A statement from NALAG said the position was keenly contested among Commonwealth local government ministries and Associations of local authorities in West Africa.
