NIB donates to Ghana Army
The Chief of Army Staff, Major General Richard Kwame Opoku-Adusei, has lauded the National Investment Bank (NIB) for its immerse support to the Ghana Army in its operations.

He said NIB had supported the Ghana Army in the execution of its projects, including the rehabilitation of its Anoma Mess.
Major General Opoku-Adusei stated this when the NIB presented a brand new Nissan Navara pick-up costing GH¢136,000.00 to the Southern Command in Accra. It is to aid the Command to partner the Ghana Police Service in its operations to combat crime and engender peace.
He charged the Ghana Army to exhibit a high sense of professionalism in the discharge of duties. That, he said, would ensure public confidence for the public to continue to support the Ghana Army. He described the relationship between NIB and the Ghana Army as a healthy one which he expected to grow in the years ahead.
The Commandant of the Southern Command, Brigadier General Musah Wajah, said the priority of the Command was to fight violent crimes and illegal activities in association with the Ghana Police Service. The vehicle, he said, would facilitate the deployment of troops to their operational areas.
Gesture of NIB
The Managing Director of NIB, Mr Ernest Mawuli Agbesi, said the decision of the bank to donate the pick-up was in line with the bank’s corporate social responsibility.
He said it would strengthen the existing relationship between the bank and the Ghana Armed Forces.
Mr. Agbesi commended the Ghana Armed Forces for the untainted image they had carved for themselves both home and abroad in the areas of peace-keeping operations and display of professionalism in the discharge of their duties.
