The National Information Technology Agency (NITA) has confirmed a temporary outage on the government of Ghana Email Platform, which supports official communication across ministries, departments and agencies.
In a statement issued in Accra on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, NITA said its technical team had identified the fault and was working diligently to restore full functionality as quickly as possible.
“We understand the importance of this platform in supporting government communication and public service delivery, and we sincerely regret any inconvenience this disruption may cause,” the agency stated.
The statement, signed by the Acting Director-General of NITA, assured users that every effort was being made to resolve the situation in the shortest possible time. It added that regular updates would be provided to keep users fully informed.
NITA also appealed for patience and cooperation from the public while engineers worked to restore services, stressing that its priority was to minimise disruption to government operations.
“We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience caused,” the statement added.
