The Managing Director of The Voiceless Media Consult, Chief Akilu Sayibu, said the decision to award the NSS boss was based on a meticulous research and monitoring activities conducted by his organisation over the past six months on the performance of appointed public officials.
He said the main motive was to encourage such appointed officials to go the extra mile to improve on service delivery at their organisations for the public good.
“The factors we considered were his leadership style; relationships with staff; the corporate culture of the organisation as well as personal achievements and contributions as a former Member of Parliament of Yagabo-Kubori Constituency,” he said.

He noted that under the watch of Mr Ussif, the NSS had regained public confidence after years of being in the public space for bad reasons.
