Obinim's OB TV 're-appears' on-air

Bishop Daniel Obinim’s television station has re-appeared on-air two weeks after the National Communications Authority (NCA) shut it down for not having a license to operate.

The station which was set up by the founder of the International Godsway Church to promote his church activities is back on-air on the Multi TV platform but has been rebranded as Ice TV.

A source at the NCA told Graphic Online that Obinim has now met the NCA requirements and has been given the license to operate his private tv station.

The new station (Ice TV) has been on-air since last week.

The NCA on March 30 withdrew the licenses of nine television stations that failed to comply with the regulations of the authority.

They included Clive TV, OB TV otherwise known as Obinim TV, ECN, Zoe TV, BTA, ATV, Care TV, Kessben TV and Elijah TV; all operating on the Multi TV platform.

According to the NCA, although Multimedia Broadcasting Limited had an authorisation to provide Free to Air Satellite Television services, branded Multi TV, it observed that over a period of time a number of TV stations were operating over satellite in Ghana in the Ku Band frequency without authorisation from the authority.

OB TV now Ice TV

The rebranded OB TV, now Ice TV operates under the same logo - blue and white colours - but with the latter name.

The programming of the television station remains the same with healing and deliverance services dominating.
