Provisional Results: NDC’s Ewurabena Aubynn in pole position to win Ablekuma North seat

The National Democratic Congress’ (NDC) parliamentary candidate, Ewurabena Aubynn, is in pole position to win the Ablekuma North parliamentary seat for the first time in 28 years.

Provisional results from the collation centre in Accra show that she has taken a comfortable lead following the collation of all 281 polling stations, including the 19 polling stations where the rerun took place today (Friday, 11 July 2025).

According to the provisional results, Ewurabena Aubynn polled 34,090 votes, defeating her main contender, the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) parliamentary candidate, Nana Akua Owusu Afriyie, who secured 33,881 votes.

The total number of votes cast across all 281 polling stations was 68,382, with 411 rejected ballots.

Officials of the Electoral Commission (EC), political party agents, and security personnel are currently present at the Greater Accra Regional Collation Centre.
